Eligibility of RPF/RPSF Exam

Educational Qualification: This post of candidate must complete 10th  class or equivalent from a well known board. For the post of sub inspector the candidate must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university. 

Age Limit: The minimum age required for candidates to appear in this exam is 18 years and maximum age limit is 25 years. The post of sub inspector the minimum age limit is 20 years and maximum age limit is 25 years. There are certain age wise relaxation  provided to candidates from reserved categories as according to government rules.

Different Stages of RPF/RPSF Exam

There are several stages of RPF/RPSF exam given in the following:

Computer Base Test (CBT): This is the first stage of the RPF/RPSF exam. This test exam contains objective type multiple choice questions from subjects like General Intelligence and Reasoning, Arithmetic and General Awareness.  The duration of this exam is 90 minutes  and total marks are 120.

Physical  Efficiency Test (PET): The candidates qualify this exam should CBT be called for PET. This exam contains different physical activities like long jump, high jump and running. 

Physical Measurement  Test (PMT): The aspirants who qualify the PET then get called for PMT. This stage contains measuring the height, chest measurement and weight of the candidates. 

Document Verification: The candidates who qualify the PMT are then called for document verification. The selected candidates should carry their original documents that involve  educational certificates, identity proof and other relevant documents for verification. 

Medical examination: once completed the document verifications the candidates then called for the medical examination. There are certain capabilities that candidates should have like visual acuity, physical fitness and hearing capacity to qualify.

Syllabus of RPF/RPSF Exam

General Awareness: This section involves questions that test a candidate's General Knowledge and Awareness about the environment around him.  The topics included in this section involve topics like economics, geography, Indian History, Current Affairs, science and technology, sports and other important events. 

Arithmetic: This section tests a candidate's mathematical skills and their ability to solve numerical problems. The topics available in this section are number system, whole number, decimal and fractions, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interests, profit and loss, discount, time and distance, time and work, etc. 

General Intelligence and Reasoning: This section tests a candidate's ability to think and reason logically. The topics included in this section similarities and differences, spatial orientation, spatial visualization, problem solving analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, observation, discrimination, arithmetic reasoning, relationship concepts, verbal and figure classification, arithmetic number series, non verbal series, decoding and coding, etc.

The exam pattern of RPF/RPSF exam different posts like constable and sub inspector. The exam pattern for both posts is given in following:

Constable:

Sub-Inspector:

Computer Based Test (CBT): This is an objective type questions test that includes topics like General English, General Awareness on Computer Applications, General Intelligence and Reasoning , Arithmetic  and General Intelligence and reasoning and General Awareness. The duration of this exam is 120 minutes and total marks are 200. 

PET (Physical Efficiency Test): Candidates who qualify in the CBT are called for the PET. PET consists of physical activities like high jump, long jump and running. The PET is qualifying in nature and candidates must meet the prescribed standards to qualify. 

PMT (Physical Measurement Test): The ones who qualify the PET called for it. The PMT consists of  measurement of height, chest measurement and weight of the candidates. The candidates must meet the prescribed physical standard to qualify. 

Document Verification: The candidates  who qualify in the PMT  are called for document verification and must carry documents that include educational certificates, identity proof and other relevant documents for verifications.
