What is the Reason to Choose 26th January as Republic Day?

What's the History?
As you already know, India got Independence on 15th August 1947 from the British Empire by following the Indian Independence movement. This freedom came out through the help of the Indian Independence act of 1947. This is an act of the parliament of the United Kingdom which divided British India into two independent dominions of the commonwealth of the nations. At that time India did not have their own permanent constitution that's why the laws were based on the modified colonial act. On the day 29th of August 1947, a resolution was moved for appointing a drafting committee to draft a permanent constitution with Dr B.R. Ambedkar as the Chairman. Time went by and on the 4th of November 1947, a draft constitution was prepared and submitted to the Constituent Assembly. On the date 24th of January, 1950 after going through some modification and deliberations the assembly that contains 308 members signed the two copies each in English and Hindi and two days later on the 26th of January 1950, it came into effect throughout the nation. The first office president of the Indian Union was Dr Rajendra Prasad. After that India celebrates the 26th of January as their Republic Day.

Final Thoughts
It’s really proud to be known as Indian and celebrating the 74th Republic day takes that pride to a new level. There are various Indians around the world; who are stating principles for us to follow. Being an Indian is special as we come from a land of diversity that makes other people think how they are so peaceful with so much diversity on the basis of caste, creed and religion. But the one thing that others don’t know about us is that we put being an Indian first rather than being known as a Marathi, Rajasthani, Malayali, Bengali, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Hindu, etc. Give yourself new wings of possibilities this year by learning and growing. Power Mind Institute wishes you a very Happy Republic Day.
Jai Hind, Jai Bharat!
